We want to know about you!
We invite a speaker from one of the organizations we support to each of our monthly membership meetings so that they may share information about their mission and the events or activities we will be supporting.
If you or someone from your organization would be interested in speaking at one of our monthly meetings, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. We will confirm whether or not we have any openings for speakers on any given month.
Our meetings are on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Health Care Center.
How can SACS help your organization
Singles Available for Community Service (SACS) provides volunteer assistance and support for non-profits engaged in charitable, philanthropic, and environmental service activities. If your organization needs volunteers for an activity or fundraising event, you’ve come to the right place.

* Please note that we will do our best to provide the number of volunteers you request; however, be aware that the number we will be able to recruit depends on what other events we are supporting that day and the general availability of our volunteers.
Once we receive your request, one of our Event Coordinators will contact you to confirm whether or not SACS can add your event to our calendar. We will accept requests for volunteers as early as one year prior to the event. The earlier you submit your request, the more likely we will be able to help. That doesn’t mean you can’t throw a last minute request at us—we will always do our best to fill the need if we are able.
Our website event listing is updated just prior to our membership meetings on the first Thursday of each month and includes all events for the current month and the following month. Thus, your event should be posted on the website and presented to our membership within 4-8 weeks of the event. At that time our members can begin to sign up to work your event.
One of our members will volunteer to be a chairperson for the event. The chairperson will contact your organization directly to finalize details and confirm the number of volunteers we will provide. If for some reason the chairperson does not contact you, please visit www.sacskc.com/Events. The chairperson’s e-mail address will be listed with your event.
